Lexus Ficca’s passion for cheerleading began at a young age and continued through high school. In 2017, Lexus and her team became regional champions with an award-winning routine choreographed by the well-known Joey Tackas — a moment she looks back on with pride. During her time at Weir High, she was a key contributor in helping lead her team to the state competition twice.
After high school, she earned a scholarship to compete on the Acrobatics & Tumbling team at West Liberty University, where she was part of the program’s inaugural team. Over her five-year collegiate career, Lexus was recognized both academically and athletically, earning honors such as MEC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, NCATA National Honor Roll, First-Team All-MEC, NCATA National Athlete of the Week Honorable Mention, and MEC Athlete of the Week. Her most proud moment is earning a 9.325 in the individual open tumbling pass against Glenville State.
After completing her athletic career, Lexus returned to Weir High School to begin coaching. She started as an assistant coach (2023-2025) and now serves as a volunteer cheerleading coach for the program that helped shape her own journey. In addition to coaching at Weir High, Lexus is entering her second year coaching at Superior Athletics, where she continues to share her passion for the sport and help young athletes grow in both skill and confidence.
Outside of the gym, Lexus enjoys designing, spending time with her dogs, reading a good book, and watching movies with her fiancé.
